AE Lan is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) and sponsored pc and console event that will be held over the course of Anime Evolution. This event is a hosted by the staff from several of the prominent members of the Vancouver gaming community. AE Lan will run from 10am-12midnight Friday and saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday August 22-24, and is FREE to all Anime Evolution attendees and aims to provide drop-in and tournament play to add to the fun of Anime Evolution.
Console and PC Gaming Section
AE Lan will feature both console gaming and PC gaming. There will be room for up to 40 attendees to come and hang out on the latest and best consoles, from Wii, to Playstation, to X-box game cube. There will be a full library of console games, including Halo, Smashbros, and Guitar Hero, which are available for both tournament and drop-in play.
There will also be a total of 50 seats for BYOC attendance and 12 drop in computers. There will be a wide variety of PC games available for play, from real time strategy games to first person shooters. There will be approximately 10 tournaments over the coarse of the event, including Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 4, Team Fortress 2, Starcraft, and DOTA.
